"I had unfortunately thought that a mixed (male and female) halfway house, was where I belonged. It turned out that it was a tremendous mistake. I relapsed within a few weeks. The coed environment was an absolute nightmare for me as well as other guys I was with. My focus was never on my program. I was caught up in trying to impress the woman and that turned out to be my Achilles heal. I was lucky enough after getting kicked out of the first place to be saved by the Waypoint. They actually enforced the rules they set, and expected appropriate behavior and respect for the other residents. I didn't like it at first, but came to realize the things they were requesting, were for my future benefit.
